Although the guide was very good the fact that the primary feature of this tour was not provided makes me give this tour an "unacceptable". We were not told that the "hard hat" portion of the tour wouldn't happen until we were already in the van and out of Las Vegas. Nor was any refund offered. I would not advise others to book this tour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tgransta from Excellent. A bit of miscommunication regarding the pickup point at the MGM Grand made my wife and I delay the departure of the van by 8 minutes. The itinerary read that the pickup point would be the west exit but the MGM Grand informed the tour company that it was closed. I did not receive a corrective call from the tour company until 3 minutes prior to our appointed time. That aside, excellent, excellent tour. Our transportation guide, Ted, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The raft portion of the tour was great and an exclusive area of access to tourists. Ted told us and another couple (small group) that he would give us 2 hours at the dam and then asked if we would like to meet at the van at 3:00 pm and take in the view of the dam from the Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. We enthusiastically agreed. We were not disappointed. I highly recommend this tour. We were back at the MGM Grand by 4:30 pm. 2 hours at the dam was plenty of time for the dam tour and some free time before and after. Advice: after arriving at the dam and receiving the tour tickets you’ll have a bit of free time. Get through security and go up to the observation deck. If you wait until after the tour to go up to the observation deck you’ll need to go through security again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SouthernGal from A Dam good tour. Our first trip to Hoover Dam included inside, outside and down under. My engineer husband particularly liked being able to see inside those awesome walls. All of the guides were very knowledgeable and delivered their messages expertly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kconn from More than I expected The complete Hoover Dam tour was awesome. The shuttle bus picked us up on time. The bus driver was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Water and a snack was provided. The water raft ride was nice. We picked a great day to go, the weather was perfect. The raft guide showed us caves & natural life in the area. Once at the Dam, we had a few minutes to explore before the tour started. The guides want you to be in place 15 minutes before the start of the tour. You have the opportunity to buy lunch at Hoover Dam. The actual tour was very nice. Ino was our tour guide & was kind and friendly. The generators are huge! The tours are in groups of 20. The history is fascinating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ASBLondonUK from King Ralph the tour guide of Las Vegas Fanstastic tour. Fully recommend the tour and if you can get Ralph as your tour guide... get him!!! This guy is a walking Wikipedia... he can talk intelligently about all things Hoover Dam and if you want to know about solar panels, mountain goats or anythIng else... he will know! I forgot to ask him about the next set of Lotto numbers... oooops. Seriously, a great tour with fantastic photo opportunities, well organized and great value!!!

The only disappointing part of our Hoover Dam Experience was that we were not happy with was the raft portion of the tour. we sat in the hot sun and listened to the guide for about 20 minutes and then he drove the boat in a circle spanning about a 50yard radius. the driver was knowledgeable and funny but we were disappointed that we spent that much money to drive in a circle and go nowhere
