It's hard to know what to expect from a place called Rose. Rabbit. Lie. But that's part of the fun. Every night is offbeat to say the least, but also chaotic and exhilarating.
The three main rooms comprising the restaurant and bar read like a game of Clue being played by the Mad Hatter and his friends. The restaurant space is referred to as the Library, while the two bars are the Study and the Music Room.
The Study is a charming take on the bookish bars that pop up from time to time. Combining creative cocktails with an atmosphere that might make more sense in a murder mystery melodrama, the Study is the place to drink it up while waiting for your table in the Library or while trying to determine whodunit.
Contrasting the literary notes of the Study is the cooler, jazzier Music Room. With crisper colors than the warmish Study, and a mist of '50s style, the Music Room feels more like a bar for ghosts of a simpler age who still want a modern drink, good conversation and a splash of tantalizing sound. With a quaint music setup including a piano and other musicians, the Music Room puts the rock in Rose. Rabbit. Lie. That might not make a ton of sense, but they call the place Rose. Rabbit. Lie. They kind of waved goodbye to sense-making somewhere around that second period.
Whether you're there for dinner, having a few drinks before or after Wicked Spoon Buffet or you just want to snoop around the stage area and see what they might be coming up with for future shows, Rose. Rabbit. Lie. is a truly unique establishment that serves up a sense of wonder with a side of deliciousness.
