La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway at Wynn Las Vegas is a must do if you're a wine lover. The ambience in the bar will remind you of a cellar or tasting room at a winery. Then there's the 250 bottles of wine and 50 by the glass, including many from boutique producers. Can't decide on one? There are flights available so you can sample several different varietals. Before you try too many, just remember, as the red lit sign on the ceiling of La Cave says, in vino veritas.
If wine isn't your thing, that's OK. La Cave also has 12 beers on tap from as near as California (Anchor Steam and Scrimshaw) to as far away as Spain (Estrella Damm) and Italy (Birra Moretti). We're kind of partial to the Timmerman's Strawberry Lambic.
There are also specialty cocktails like the Driving Miss Daisy with Hendrick's Gin, hibiscus liqueur, fresh lemon and raspberries and sparkling rose or the Basil Blueberrita with Casamigos Blanco Tequila, Chambord, fresh basil and blueberries.
You'll want to pair your drinks with some food and La Cave has a great menu of small bites. Be sure to try their signature mushroom grits, the fiery artichoke, pepperoncini, olive and ricotta flatbread or the bacon wrapped dates. We suggest getting a few plates and sharing with a friend.
